Free Advocacy Advantage Snapshot
Would an independent view of your advocacy be useful?
If you share your work email and website, we’ll send you a short snapshot within two working days. It looks at how your organisation might come across to decision-makers, the stakeholders worth considering, and three practical steps you could take next.
- Free
- Built from public information
- No meeting needed
By submitting this form you agree that The PR Company (Wellington) may email you your snapshot and one follow-up about it. Reply "unsubscribe" to any of them and we'll stop. We won’t add you to a mailing list without asking. Your details go to Daniel and James only. Email james@theprcompany.co.nz to see or delete them.
How it works
It takes you about a minute.
Share a few details
Your work email and your organisation’s website. That’s all we ask for.
We research it
From public sources only: your website, your submissions, your news coverage from the last 12 months and what Parliament has on record. AI tools do the first pass, and one of us checks the result.
You get a private link
Your snapshot arrives by email within two working days, on an unlisted page that only people with the link can find.
What’s in your snapshot
An outside-in read of your advocacy, built on our 6Ps approach. It gives you a sense of how you might come across to decision-makers who look you up.
A readiness score
Out of 10, across five things we check for every organisation. Each of the five comes with a one-line reason.
Strengths and opportunities
What you’re already doing well, where there may be room to grow, and what we couldn’t see from outside.
Your 6Ps, from outside
Purpose, Positioning, People, Proposition, Priorities and Performance. What we can see in each, and what might be worth sharpening.
Stakeholders worth considering
The ministers, officials, councils and journalists who could shape your outcome, named and in a suggested order.
An idea to test
One line we think could land well with those people, and why. Yours to try out.
Practical next steps
Three steps you could consider over the next 90 days, plus three questions you might talk through with your board.
What this work has done for others
We’ve been doing advocacy and communications for New Zealand organisations since the 1980s.
NZ Association of Counsellors
Worked with NZAC to secure $90 million of Government funding for counselling in primary and intermediate schools.
Wellington Free Ambulance
Helped the Service gain the Government funding it needed to launch its Urgent Community Care programme.
Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes. It costs nothing and you don’t need a meeting. We’ll check in once afterwards to see if you want to talk it through.
What do you look at?
Only public information: your website, news coverage, submissions and parliamentary records. We don’t contact anyone at your organisation to write it.
Who else sees it?
Only us, and anyone you send the link to. The page isn’t listed on our site, and we ask search engines to skip it. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it with care.
Will you follow up?
We’ll check in once to see if you want to talk it through. Reply “unsubscribe” to any of our emails and we’ll stop.
Do you use AI?
Yes. AI tools gather the public information and write a first draft. Then Daniel or James reads it, checks the facts that matter and edits it before it goes to you. The judgement in it is ours.
Who’s behind it?
Daniel Paul and James Paul at The PR Company, in Wellington. One of us checks every snapshot before it goes out.
